Ganapathi Pooja
In Hindu mythology, Lord Ganesha is known as the elephant-headed God, and prayers
to Lord Ganesha is offered at the onset of any auspicious work or before any kind
of worship is begun. Lord Ganesh, who is also known by various other names such
as Ganapathi, Vinaayaka or Vighneswara, is the God who helps overcome obstacles
in life and is also known as the Lord of power and wisdom. By offering prayers to
Lord Ganesha mothers hope to imbibe the virtues of Lord Ganesha in their sons. Worshipping
Lord Ganesha endows one with the courage and confidence required to embark upon
and achieve accomplishments in any field in the world. So it is only apposite that
every rite or ceremony or project should be started with the worship of this God.
The commonly held way to worship Lord Ganesha is by Performing Ganapathy Homa. The
Ganapati Homa , performed once a year bring about prosperity, health and wealth.
If any one is running Ketu dasa or bhukti or there is some dosha of Ketu in the
horoscope, he shall perform Ganapathy Homa and get-relief. Ganapathy Homa should
be performed in the early morning and Poornahuthi to be offered during sunrise,
unless any other time is specifically mentioned to suit the particular purpose. On the whole, only Vedic ways of Homas should be performed. Lord Ganesha is offered
at the onset of any auspicious work or before any kind of worship is begun. Lord
